Hello, allemaal! Ik ben verheugd om jullie te informeren dat ik Cum Laude ben afgestudeerd aan de Universiteit Twente. Alles is heel goed gegaan!

1. Scriptie
Jullie steun en feedback hebben deze scriptie mogelijk gemaakt met solide bewijs uit de industrie. Dit is een van de belangrijkste redenen waarom dit werk uniek is. Sommigen van jullie waren aanwezig bij de ceremonie en ontvingen mijn boek. Voor degenen die er niet bij waren, geef ik jullie hierbij een samenvatting in het Nederlands.

2. Onderzoek
Vanaf 2025 zet ik mijn onderzoek naar Circulaire Economie voort als senior onderzoeker aan de Universiteit Twente. Mijn focus ligt op het Europese project From Industrial Symbiosis to Hubs for Circularity.
In dit project breid ik mijn scope uit naar de algehele circulaire transitie in verschillende industrieën. Met de bouwsector als ankerindustrie wil ik nieuwe circulaire kansen ontdekken in verschillende sectoren. Maar dat is niet eenvoudig. We moeten zorgvuldig omgaan met materialen, geld en mensen rondom nieuwe kansen. Daarom zijn er veel interessante en gerichte onderzoeksonderwerpen opgenomen. Ik ben er om u te helpen als uw organisaties onderzoeksondersteuning of advies nodig hebben.

3. Onderwijs
Ik neem ook de rol aan van een jonge docent om toekomstige talenten op te leiden aan de universiteit. De cursussen zijn Circular Sustainable Business Development en Circular Economy Transition. Ik help studenten om de basisprincipes van circulariteit te leren door educatieve spellen te spelen. Binnenkort zullen meer studenten werken aan hun afstudeerprojecten in duurzaamheid en circulariteit. Misschien kunnen we samen met u en studenten een leuke samenwerking vinden.
4. Ikself
Ik ben blij om in de regio Twente te blijven en onderzoek te blijven doen dat ik leuk vind. De bezuinigingen op de universiteit zorgen voor onzekerheden. Maar ik ontvang rechtstreeks financiering van de Europese Commissie, dus ik voel me voorlopig veilig over mijn werk.
Niemand kan de toekomst voorspellen, als de wereld zo dynamisch is. Maar ik vind een vredige plek in mijn hoofd. Zoals ik altijd doe, werk ik hard en zorg ik voor mensen. Ik vertrouw erop dat de maatschappij mij goed zal behandelen.
Ik woon in Enschede, vlak bij de tennisclub ELTC aan de Pathmossingel. Ik tennis al jaren en ik ben lid van het onderhoudsteam van deze club. Als je me niet op kantoor kunt vinden, vind je me in de tennis.
5. Einde
Het is belangrijk om consistent te zijn in kennis en partnerschap. Dit is de basis voor vertrouwen. Ik geloof dat onze kennis en partnerschap in de toekomst een groot potentieel hebben op basis van wat we van elkaar weten. Ik wil mijn rol veranderen van een academie die tegenover je zit naar een betrouwbare partner die samen naast je schouders loopt.

1. Thesis
Your support and feedback made this thesis possible with solid evidence from the industry. This is one of the most important reasons why this work is unique. Some of you joined the ceremony and received my book. For those who did not join, I here provide you with a summary.

2. Research
Starting in 2025, I continue my research in Circular Economy as a senior researcher at the University of Twente. I focus on the European Project of From Industrial Symbiosis to Hubs for Circularity.
In this project, I extend my scope to the overall circular transition in different industries. Taking the construction industry as an anchor industry, I aim to discover new circular opportunities in different sectors. But this is not easy. We need to carefully manage materials, money, and people around new opportunities. Therefore, many interesting and focused research topics are included. I am here to help you if your organisations need any research support or advice.

3. Education
I also take the role of a young teacher to educate future talents at the university. The courses are Circular Sustainable Business Development and Circular Economy Transition. I help students to learn circularity basics by playing educational games. Soon, more students will work on their graduation projects in sustainability and circularity. Maybe we can find a nice collaboration together with you and students.
4. Myself
I am happy to stay in the Twente region and keep doing research that I like. The budget cut at the university creates uncertainties. But I receive funding from the European Commission directly, therefore, I feel safe about my work for now.
Nobody can foresee the future when the world is so dynamic. But I find a peaceful place in my mind. Like what I always do, I work hard and care for people. I am confident that society will treat me well in return.
I am currently living in Enschede nearby the tennis club ELTC on Pathmossingel street. I have been playing tennis for years and I am a member of the maintenance team in this club. If you cannot find me in the office, you then find me in tennis.
5. Ending
It is important to have consistency in knowledge and partnership. This is the foundation for trust. I believe our knowledge and partnership have great potential in the future based on what we know about each other. I want to change my role from an academy sitting opposite you to a reliable partner walking beside your shoulders together.
